PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating cooking apparatus capable of carrying out water supply to a pot more normally. SOLUTION: The heating cooking apparatus 1 is provided with a water tank 71 for water storage, a water supply passage 55 led out from the water tank 71, and a steam generator 50 having the pot 51 supplied with water via a water supply opening 55a in an opened end of the water supply passage 55 and heating the water in the pot 51 to generate steam. An object to be heated is cooked by steam generated by the steam generator 50. It is provided with a tank water level detection part 56 having a tank GND electrode 56a and tank detection electrodes 56b-56d, a pot water level detection part 81 having a pot GND electrode 81a conducted to the tank GND electrode 56a and a pot detection electrode 81b, and the pot detection electrode 81b is arranged in a side far from the water supply opening 55a than the pot GND electrode 81a.
