PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device for a wheel bearing capable of being transported into a chute by a handling device of an automatic press-fitting machine one by one without trouble when stacked on a stacking table, so as to be automatically press-fitted in the bearing smoothly. SOLUTION: The sealing device for the wheel bearing comprises an annular seal plate 14 and an annular slinger 15 having substantially L-shaped cross-sections and arranged face to face with each other. The seal plate 14 is composed of a core member 16 made of magnetic steel plate and a seal member 17 integrally connected to the core member 16. The slinger 15 has a cylindrical part 15a and an upright plate part 15b extending radially outwardly from the cylindrical part 15a. An end face of the seal plate 14 is provided with a predetermined step b for connecting a magnetic encoder 20 to the upright plate part 15b. A projection 18 axially extending toward an inner side of the bearing is formed integrally with the seal member 17. A projecting amount a of the projection 18 is set larger than the step b.
