PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure of an oil level inspection window for a versatile in-vehicle internal combustion engine capable of utilizing the inspection window in common even if a mounting attitude of the internal combustion engine to a vehicle is different with each other and suitably facilitating setting of scales. SOLUTION: In the mounting structure of the oil level inspection window for an in-vehicle internal combustion engine, the oil level inspection window 20 inserted into an opening 15 drilled at a lower section of a vertical side wall 10R of a crankcase from the outside is locked by pressing the inspection window 20 on an outer side of the vertical side wall 10R by a locking member 30, and the scales 35L and 35U are marked on the locking member 30.
