PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously perform a transition and a timeline action in an image switching device having both a transition function and a key frame timeline function with easy preparation and operation. SOLUTION: The device, having a fader lever 33, an operation means 34 for selecting the operation modes of the lever 33 whether only switching images in an image synthesis means or the switching and a timeline operation in other image synthesis means, and an operation means 37 for designating an image synthesis means as a target of the timeline action, which controls a ratio of the image switching in one image synthesis means according to the operation of the lever 33 when selecting the switching only in the operation means 34, and controls a ratio of image switching in one image synthesis means and progress of the timeline operation in an image synthesis means designated by the operation means 37 according to the operation of the lever 33 when selecting the switching and the timeline operation in the operation means 34.
