PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sighting telescope where the power is variable from the minimum to the maximum by lightly performing the power varying operation of a variable power ring and rotating the variable power ring by an angle equal to or below the rotation angle of a zoom cam without spoiling the strength accuracy of the sighting telescope, even though the improvement in operability is limited because the variable power ring is coaxial to a lens barrel when the sighting telescope is mounted on a gun. SOLUTION: Regarding the variable power structure of the present invention to solve the problem, the variable power ring (9) is arranged by centering an axis (B) orthogonal to an optical axis (A) between an objective and an eyepiece. By having such the arrangement, the variable power ring is rotated centering the axis orthogonal to the optical axis direction (A), consequently, the sighting telescope having the improved operability of the variable power ring is provided.
