PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder detergent carton, which is easy to keep a lid body from lifting, and to secure a shutting tendency by spoiling no appearance or strength of the carton. SOLUTION: The present invention is a manufacturing process of a powder detergent carton 10, which has a preliminary folding step for giving the shutting tendency to push a lid body 31 toward a hinge strip 32 in a shutting direction. This preliminary folding step is the step of pressing the lid body 31, pinching by a pressing plate 43 and a flat plate 41, after putting the hinge strip 32 of a sheet of development paper for the lid body 31 on a folding mold 42 prepared projecting from a flat plate 41; wherein the preliminary folding step keeps the pressing plate away from a folding part 33.
