A developing unit for an image forming apparatus is provided to enable toner filled into a developing cartridge not to be flowed backward to a toner injection hole during delivery, thereby preventing the contamination of the inner space due to the leakage of the toner and a toner cartridge joining defect due to the contamination of the toner injection hole. A developing unit for an image forming apparatus comprises a developing cartridge(110), a toner cartridge, and a sealing member(300). The developing cartridge has a toner injection hole. The toner cartridge is detachably installed on the toner injection hole. The sealing member occupies and seals the inner space of the toner injection hole when the toner cartridge is separated from the toner injection hole.
