<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system in which by effectively utilizing exhaust heat from a fuel cell, desulfurization operation of fuel is carried out without any problem even in the case of excess and shortage of calorific values. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel cell system in which exhaust heat energy from the fuel cell is used as a heat source of a desulfurizer 4, a secondary tank 6 in which the fuel after desulfurization is temporarily stored is installed, and even if the desulfurizer is stopped in the case of the shortage of the calorific value, desulfurized fuel is supplied to the fuel cell from the secondary tank. Otherwise, in a cogeneration system with other exhaust heat utilizing equipment, by enhancing an exhaust heat supply ratio to the other exhaust heat utilizing equipment, in the case of the shortage of calorific value to the desulfurizer, while increasing the fuel charged into the fuel cell, by reducing a hydrogen utilization rate in the fuel cell simultaneously, the necessary heat capacity is supplied while keeping power generation amount constant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
