PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select and recommend content suitable for the status of a user in response to a request from each user based on the fact that what type of content is being viewed by the user in what type of status or information showing what type of content the user views. SOLUTION: Each user transmits information for specifying information showing the status of a user in the case of reproducing a musical piece and information for specifying the musical piece through the Internet to a server as a log. The server receives a log from each user, and generates information showing a correspondence relation between each status pattern in the case of classifying the status of the user into a plurality of status patterns and a reproduced musical piece in the case of the status pattern as a log table. When receiving a recommendation request including the status detection signal of the detection result of the status of a certain user from the user, the server selects the musical piece suitable for the status of the user shown by a status detection signal from a log table, and recommends it to a user at the origin of request.
