<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ticketing system that can optionally discard and redeem normally issued tickets and can process the discarded and redeemed original tickets in a clearly identifiable manner. <P>SOLUTION: A discarding button 342 for issuing a command to discard an issued original ticket and a redemption button 343 for issuing a command to redeem the original ticket are provided. When either is operated, an issued original ticket is captured, the ticket details of the captured original ticket are read, and the captured original ticket can be punched for discarding or be punched for redemption otherwise than punching for discarding.
