PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically correct misalignment of a ship caused when putting the ship to the inner side of a sling belt, when sling up the ship. SOLUTION: In this lifting sling 8 for the ship, provided with a lifting sling body 9 supported by the hook 7 of a crane 1, raised, and lowered, and the sling belt 11 suspended from both the side parts of the lifting sling body 9 and holding to support the ship 10, both the end parts of the sling belt 11 are directly connected to each other or indirectly connected to each other through a connecting part 15 to form a closed loop shape, and the closed loop part of the sling belt 11 is vertically movably wrapped around both the end side parts of the lifting sling body 9 through a rotor 16. When slinging up the ship 10 from water, the center G of the ship 10 and the center Gb of the lifting sling body 9 are automatically aligned on the same vertical line by the balance of the load of the ship 10 applied to both the end parts of the sling belt 11.
