PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bucket elevator for transporting granular matter capable of prolonging the lifetime of a belt by reducing the load on the belt caused by buckets mounted, enhancing the transport efficiency of shot, reducing the space of a place of installation of the elevator, and prolonging the lifetime of a pulley. SOLUTION: In the bucket elevator for transporting granular matter, a large number of buckets 3 are mounted in a staggered manner in the longitudinal direction of a belt 4, and the granular matter scooped by the buckets 3 at a lower position is continuously transferred to an upper position.
