An FFT section (34) in a multicarrier signal receiving apparatus performs Fourier-transformation to a received signal and generates a subcarrier signal. A propagating path estimating section (37) performs propagating path estimation for one subcarrier signal generated by the FFT section (34), by using a propagating path estimating symbol included in a signal of a subcarrier group composed of adjacent subcarriers to which the identical phase rotation is given upon transmission and the one subcarrier belongs. A propagating path compensating section (36) performs propagating path compensation of a data symbol included in the subcarrier, based on the results of the propagation path estimation performed by the propagation path estimating section (37) for the subcarrier signal generated by the FET section (34).
