A method for coating a thermoplastic resin bead for an artificial pearl is provided to reduce coating time and drying time remarkably, to improve the smoothness of coated surface, and to obtain the surface like a natural pearl. A method for coating a thermoplastic resin bead for an artificial pearl comprises the steps of surface treating a resin bead by using a surface-treating agent; and coating the surface-treated resin bead by using a paint at least one time, wherein the surface-treating agent comprises 1.5-6 wt% of celluloid, 20-50 wt% of acetone as a solvent, 20-50 wt% of ethyl acetate as a solvent, 10-30 wt% of butyl acetate, 0.1-0.7 wt% of camphor as a plasticizer, and 2-10 wt% of benzene.
