A soil conditioner, and a method for cultivating crops by using the soil conditioner are provided to prevent the acidification of agricultural land, to promote the growth of crops and to prevent the damage by harmful insects. A soil conditioner comprises a stone powder comprising 60 parts by weight of serpentine, 5-15 parts by weight of jadeite and nephrite, 5-15 parts by weight of anion stone and 5-15 parts by weight of germanium stone; and 5-15 parts by weight of a mica powder. Preferably serpentine, jadeite and nephrite have a particle size of 100-1,500 mesh, and anion stone and germanium stone have a particle size of 30-150 mesh.
