METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR OUTPUTTING SOUND LINKED WITH IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To report to a player that an action is recognized through both visual sense and acoustic sense.

SOLUTION: A speed vector calculation part calculates the speed vector of an action that an object operated by a player 72 turns to a contact surface W by using the image of the action of the player photographed by a camera 20. A moving time calculation part calculates the moving time required for the object to reach the contact surface by using the speed vector and a distance between the object and the contact surface W. A delay time acquisition part acquires the delay time for sound emitted from a speaker 42 to reach the player 72. A sound control part makes prescribed sound be output after the lapse of the time for which the delay time is subtracted from the moving time and makes the player 72 listen to the sound practically simultaneously with the contact of the object with the contact surface.
