<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply device of an internal combustion engine capable of surely preventing abnormal rise of a fuel pressure such that a relief valve disposed on a common rail is opened, and capable of maintaining sufficient engine operation performance. <P>SOLUTION: A basic target fuel pressure PFMAP is calculated in accordance with the engine operation state. A drawing amount ΔPFCMD is calculated in accordance with a fuel pressure PF, and the drawing amount ΔPFCMD is subtracted from the basic target fuel pressure PFCMD, and thereby, a target fuel pressure PFCMD is calculated. A delivery amount instruction value FR of a high pressure pump is calculated so that a deviation ΔPF between the target fuel pressure PFCMD and a detection fuel pressure PF is 0. The drawing amount ΔPFCMD is set to be 0 when the fuel pressure PF is smaller than a prescribed fuel pressure PFTH, and is set to be a prescribed value DPF0 when the fuel pressure PF is equal to or more than the prescribed fuel pressure PFTH. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
