<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate spatial frequency characteristics of image data in parallel to compression/decompression processing of an image. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic camera has constitution mentioned as below. An imaging section generates image data. An orthogonal transforming section orthogonally transforms the image data. A table holding section holds different quantization tables A and B. A quantizing section quantizes an orthogonal transformation coefficient according to the quantization table A. An encoding section encodes the quantized orthogonal transformation coefficient. A file generating section attaches the quantization table B for image decompression processing to the encoded data to generate an image compression file. An operation section accepts modifications of picture quality adjustment parameters. The table holding section relatively modifies the quantization tables A and B according to the picture quality adjustment parameters from the operation section to preset spatial frequency characteristics subjected to image decompression. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
