<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and an image processing method by which transparency process can be performed in a favorable manner by a small amount of memory, even when a group of object images which is constituted by sequentially overwriting object images is superimposed on another object image or a background. <P>SOLUTION: When a group of object images constituted by sequentially overwriting object images 911, 912, 913 and 916 is overwritten on an object image 920 with transparency process, the object image 916 of the uppermost layer of the object images 911, 912, 913 and 916 is subjected to transparency process and is overwritten on the object image 920 which is written in a transparency processing buffer 10D (C). Also, the silhouette 916S of the object image 916 is written in a drawing position control buffer 10E (D).
