PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination control device capable of lighting a lighting system such as a trade sign earlier than the time the sun sets by a predetermined time. SOLUTION: This illumination control device is provided with: a lighting system 12 such as a trade sign lamp 11 or an interior lamp; a time part 5 keeping the present time; an illuminance sensor 3 detecting illuminance outside a room; and a control part 2 reading the present time from the timer means when the illuminance detected by the illuminance sensor attains above a first predetermined value to store it as a sunrise time and to turn off the lighting system, reading the present time from the timer means when the illuminance detected by the illuminance sensor is lowered below a second predetermined value to store it as a sunset time of the current day, updating the sunset time of the current day to a sunset time of a current day as an estimated sunset time of a later day relative to the current day, and lighting the lighting system at an earlier time by a predetermined time than the estimated sunset time.
