PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition which can form cured coating films excellent in any of scratch resistance, acid resistance, stain resistance and finish property. SOLUTION: This coating composition is characterized by comprising a carboxyl group-containing compound (A), an acrylic resin containing epoxy groups and hydrolysable alkoxysilyl groups, and a polycarbonate diol compound (C) obtained by reacting a carbonylation agent with a 2 to 10C diol as a diol component and having a viscosity of≤10,000 mPa s at 50°C and a number-average mol.wt. of 400 to 2,500.
