PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain high quality and high yield by preventing occurrence of failure resulting from material formation in an assembly process of a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: In a seal coating process which is a post-process of rubbing cleaning/drying processes, an Ag (conductive material for connection between electrodes of both substrates) coating process, and at least one process of a spacer dispersion process and a spacer fixing process, UV cleaning is carried out to a CF substrate or a TFT substrate immediately before the respective materials are applied or treated thereto, and after that, a liquid crystal panel is assembled by dropping liquid crystal and then sticking both substrates together, or the liquid crystal panel is assembled by dropping the liquid crystal after sticking both substrates together. Further, using a material coating device in which a coating head consisting of a cylinder and a nozzle is formed integrally with a UV lamp, pinpoint irradiation of the ultraviolet rays is carried out using ultraviolet lamp just closer to the part to be coated with the seal material or Ag material.
