<p>The present invention relates to a peptide comprising the amino acid sequence of residues 36-44 of human H2A modified by a cysteine residue at the carboxy terminus of the peptide, to analogs, derivatives, and active fragments thereof, and to pharmaceutical compositions comprising same. The compositions of the invention are useful for treating burns, inflammatory, autoimmune and degenerative diseases.</p> |
