A mounting bracket impact absorption structure for a steering column of a vehicle is provided to protect a driver by breaking a plastic-molded injection while a mounting housing and a mounting capsule are separated and by absorbing impact continuously, together with changing of a strap. A mounting bracket impact absorption structure for a steering column of a vehicle comprises: a mounting bracket impact absorption structure including a mounting housing, a mounting capsule(10) and a strap. The mounting housing includes a guide slot formed to be spaced by a predetermined distance in one and the other sides, an injection hole formed on both sides of the guide slot and a tap provided with a coupling projection in a predetermined position. The mounting capsule includes a guide portion(15) having a predetermined height to be correspondingly fitted to the guide slot, a mounting slot(11) having an approximately elliptical shape, first and second injection holes(13,13') formed for plastic molding with the injection hole and a slot guide portion(19) formed in a lower side of the mounting slot. Additionally, the strap bent to be fitted to the slot guide portion and provided with a coupling hole.
