<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain waste of paper while increasing the speed of a printing process. <P>SOLUTION: A primary paper feed means 7 primarily feeds paper from a paper feed cassette 5 in which paper on which an image is to be printed is set. A secondary paper feed means 9 secondarily feeds the primarily fed paper according to the timing of image transfer. A detecting means 15a detects whether image data for use as an original for printing an image has been obtained or not. A paper control means 15b exerts control so as to primarily feed paper and convey it into the secondary paper feed means, and also secondarily feeds paper according to the timing of the control. When the detecting means detects that the image data has not been obtained, the paper feed control means 15b exerts control so as to reversely convey the primarily fed paper to the paper feed cassette 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
