<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate of backlight unit capable of improving luminance and uniformity. <P>SOLUTION: Patterns are formed at least on one face in a light guide plate 100 which guides light emitted from a light source 103 in a prescribed direction. The patterns in which a plurality of first V-shape grooves extending in a first direction and a plurality of second V-shape grooves 120 extending in a second direction are arranged so as to mutually cross are formed on a reflection surface 102 of the light guide plate 100. In this case, the depth of the first V-shape grooves 110 is formed smaller than the depth of second V-shape grooves 120.
