<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably discharge developer containing relatively a large amount of deteriorated carrier to the outside of a developing tank, to prevent poor toner electrification, even when in an image forming speed is made high, and consequently, to prevent a defective image such as fogging, in a trickle type developing device used for an electrophotographic image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device 1 includes the developing tank 2, a developing roller 3, a supply roller 4, an agitating roller 5 and a layer thickness regulating member 6, wherein a developer conveying member 7 and a conveyance guide member 8 are provided on the upstream side of the layer thickness regulating member 6 in the rotating direction of the developing roller 3 so that they extend in the longitudinal direction of the developing tank 2 and become parallel to the axial line of the developing roller 3, and the developer staying on the conveyance guide member 8 is discharged to the outside of the developing tank 2 with the rotation of the developer conveying member 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
