<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an image forming apparatus capable of preventing the deterioration of developer in a developing chamber with simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with: (a) a storing chamber for storing the developer; and the developing chamber having (b) an inflow port into which the developer flows from the storing chamber, a developer carrier which carries the developer, and a rotatable conveying member which is positioned between the inflow port and the developer carrier and conveys the developer (c). The developing chamber (d) has a guide part for guiding the developer in a direction where the developer separates from the inflow port in the shaft direction of the conveying member and in a direction where it approaches to the conveying member from the inflow port.
