PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which is small and inexpensive by executing camera shake correction without using a special mechanism apparatus. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus has a reading means 34 for reading first-Nth image charges accumulated in a photodiode of an imaging element at least two or more times during a predetermined charge accumulating time; an image holding means 35 for temporarily holding the read image charges; an image shift means 36 for shifting the held image charges; and a control means 37 for controlling the above means. The control means 37 repeats following operations until an Nth image charge is added, i. e. causing the image shift means 36 to shift the image charges held in the image holding means 35 by a first moving quantity (the minimum number of pixels corresponding to the cycle of repetitive pattern of a color filter), adding a subsequent image charge read from the image reading means 34 to the shifted image charges, and adding a subsequent image charge after shifting the added image charges by nth moving quantity.
