PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a finder device capable of performing bright and vivid superimposing display while preventing the upsizing of an entire finder optical system. SOLUTION: The finder device has a focusing screen, an image inverting means to invert a subject image formed on the focusing screen, and an eyepiece to guide light to an observer from the image inverting means, and has an optical plate arranged adjacently to the focusing screen and equipped with a deflection part, and an irradiation means to radiate the light to the deflection part through the image inverting means. The deflection part has a photometric means to deflect the light from the irradiation means, guide it to the eyepiece through the image inverting means and measure the luminance of the subject image formed on the focusing screen through the image inverting means, and an optical path composing means to compose optical paths so that the reference optical path of the photometric means and the reference optical path of the irradiation means may be the same in the image inverting means.
