PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a range switch control device for an automatic transmission capable of preventing an action of a vehicle different from intention of a driver by reducing delay of range switch for a select operation of a range position. SOLUTION: A select switch 1 is equipped with a movable electrode 13 and fixed electrodes 15a, 15b for detecting a select operation start. When an operation start is detected by the movable electrode 13 and fixed electrodes 15a, 15b of the select switch, the controller 2 makes an actuator part 3 start range switch to a range position corresponding to the started select operation.
