<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cool electric components with large calorific volumes, as well as, to cool both batteries and the electric components in an ideal state by reducing the effects due to cooling of the electrical components on the cooling of the batteries. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply device for a vehicle is provided with a battery compartment 2 for housing a plurality of batteries 1, an electrical component compartment 4 for housing the electric components 3, an in-flow side duct 5 for supplying cooling air to the battery compartment 2, an exhaust side duct 6 for exhausting the cooling air from the battery compartment 2, and a cooling fan 7 for forcibly sending the cooling air, from the in-flow side duct 5 to the exhaust side duct 6 through the battery compartment 2. The electrical component compartment 4 is linked to either the in-flow side duct 5 or to the exhaust side duct 6 via a pinpoint ventilation part 8. The pinpoint ventilation part 8 has the injection direction of the cooling air set toward a direction where the cooling air is concentrated on exothermic components 9 of the electric component compartment 4. The power supply device cools the exothermic components 9, by forcibly sending the cooling air to them 9 with the pinpoint ventilation part 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
