PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket for electric parts in which falling-off from a mold guide or the like is prevented by means that position regulation of a movable side contact part is carried out. SOLUTION: In this socket for the electric parts, on movable contact pieces 15c of contact pins 15 mounted on a socket main body 13, position regulating parts 15j are formed in the vicinity of the movable side contact parts 15g, and when the movable contact pieces 15c have been closed by elastic force, in a non-housing state of an IC package 12, the position regulating parts 15j contact with stopper parts 13g, and the position regulation of the movable side contact parts 15g is carried out and the movable side contact parts 15g are constituted against the upper end parts of fixed side contact parts 15d so as to be separated by a smaller distance H than the thickness T of an IC reed 12b of the IC package 12.
