PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire cut electric discharge machining device capable of more surely inserting a wire electrode into a pilot hole without being hooked by a peripheral member, and without being twisted and slackened in an automatic wire connection device which slackens the wire electrode, by flying and discharging the slackened wire electrode with the jet force at a stroke. SOLUTION: The wire electrode 2 is slackened between an auxiliary roller 1 and an introduction block 3 having a wire electrode introduction inlet 5 of a guide pipe 4. A strip-shaped plate 6 is provided with a hole 7 for passing through the wire electrode 2 at one end. The strip-shaped plate 6 is fixed to the introduction block 3 at the other end in an arc shaped bent state. The strip-shaped plate 6 has a spring force weaker than the force when the wire electrode 2 receives an impelling force. The strip-shaped plate 6 slackens the wire electrode 2 between the auxiliary roller 1 and the introduction block 3 in one direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
