PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-liquid separator which is capable of optionally changing the conveyance pitch in accordance with the fluid properties of a material to be treated (sludge) and of conducting various sludge treatments by one device to increase the usability of users. SOLUTION: In the solid-liquid separator, an outer barrel 17 is constituted as a fixed member by inserting a fixed plate 21 having an opening to a long bolt 19, and a movable member 18 is constituted by inserting a conveyance plate 29 having an opening to a cross-section polygonal shaft 25 to be rotatively driven by a motor 13 and a spacer 28. A spiral step conveyance vane is constituted by a part of the conveyance plate 29 and the spacer 28 by inserting each conveyance plate 29 and spacer 28 in the position shifted to the peripheral direction. Flocculation sludge charged from an inflow box 12 is conveyed while being compressed by the spiral step conveyance vane and is discharged from the exit. The cloggings are prevented by the rotation movement accompanied by the vertical variation of the conveyance plate 29 because the conveyance plate 29 and spacer 28 are eccentrified to the shaft 25.
