A bumper stay is provided to preclude parts of a vehicle from being deformed and damaged without rotary moment by placing a buffer part at one side of the bumper stay and absorbing shock from the collision, and to lighten a weight of an automobile by changing steel material into plastic material. A bumper stay(10) comprises a side member(13), and a buffer part. The side member supports a bumper beam and a front body installed at the front of the vehicle body. The buffer part is placed at one side and absorbs the shock from the vehicle collision. The buffer has a plurality of notch parts(15). The length of the notch parts is reduced toward the side member.
