<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passbook handling device ready for a double stripe passbook for solving a problem of increase in a processing time and performing magnetic stripe processing at a higher speed as the number of reciprocation of the passbook over a magnetic recording head is increased when magnetic data are written in one magnetic strip in comparison with the case of magnetic data writing in the other magnetic stripe in the double stripe passbook. <P>SOLUTION: When magnetic data are written in one magnetic stripe, the magnetic data are read in the opposite direction to that of the other magnetic stripe with respect to a format of the magnetic data, so that the passbook is conveyed in the same direction for writing the magnetic data in one magnetic data as it is conveyed for wiring the magnetic data in the other magnetic stripe. In this way, a passbook conveying distance necessary for writing the magnetic stripe data and the number of turns in the passbook conveying direction can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
