<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver, a transmission system, and a reception method that achieves clock reproduction with less jitter with a simple circuit configuration even at a high-speed data transmission rate in amplitude-directional multilevel-modulation communication. <P>SOLUTION: The receiver 3 sets 2<SP>n</SP>-1 thresholds in a range between a minimum value and a maximum value of a received signal, obtains 2<SP>n</SP>-1 comparator outputs by respectively comparing each of the set thresholds with the received signal by a comparator, and reproduces a clock when a first threshold close to the minimum value of the received signal is changed from a first level L to a second level H, and when a second threshold close to the maximum value of the received signal is changed from the second level to the first level, so as to latch the 2<SP>n</SP>-1 comparator outputs in synchronization with a clock CLK2 obtained by phase adjusting the reproduced clock. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
