PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging element unit and a camera equipped with a vibration applying member arranged with a predetermined space on the photoelectric conversion face side of the imaging element for applying vibration on dust protective optical member and having simple constitution for ensuring the stable vibration by suppressing attenuation of vibration of the dust protective optical component. SOLUTION: The imaging element unit and camera has: an imaging element 27 for obtaining an image signal; a holding means for holding the imaging element; a dust protective filter 21 arranged opposite with predetermined space on the front face side of the imaging element; a vibration applying member 22 arranged at a circumferential edge part of the dust protective filter for applying vibration on the dust protective filter; and a receiving member 23 fixed to the holding member for supporting the dust protective filter at a portion near to or of the circumferential edge part of the dust protective filter.
