PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder which can prevent wasting of ink by reducing an amount of delivering the ink jetted when bubbles and sludge gathered in an inkjet recording head and a sub-tank are removed. SOLUTION: An image recording unit 24 is equipped with the inkjet recording head 35, the sub-tank 37, a head controlling substrate 36, and a carriage 34 which carries these. An arm 100 is installed at the carriage 34. A pressing part 105 descends to press the top face of the sub-tank 37 when an inputting part 106 of the arm 100 is pushed up. A maintenance mechanism 140 is prepared at a left end of the reciprocation range of the carriage 34. When the carriage 34 moves to the left end, a pushing rod 142 is pushed up, and only the sub-tank 37 of a preliminarily selected ink color is pressed.
