PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level detection device that has an insert-molded and built-in chip capacitor and is capable of preventing mechanical damages of the insert-molded chip capacitor. SOLUTION: The liquid level detection device 1 comprises a body section 5, a float 2, a rotating section 4, a magnetoelectric transducer 70 that is built in the body section 5 and detects the rotational angle of the rotating section 4, a terminal 8 that is built in the body section 5 and electrically connects the magnetoelectric transducer 70 to the outside, a chip capacitor 9 that is connected to the terminal 8 and electrically protects the magnetoelectric transducer 70, and a holder 10 that is fixed to the terminal 8 and supports the chip capacitor 9 connected to the terminal 8. The terminal 8 with the holder 10 fixed, and connected to the chip capacitor 9 is insert-molded inside the body section 5, at resin molding of the body section 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
