PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level detector capable of stably detecting the level of a liquid inside a tank. SOLUTION: A liquid amount sensor 10 as a liquid level detector is equipped with a sensor body 24, attached to the side wall 18B of a washer tank 12 for storing a liquid, a first electrode 26 projecting from the sensor body 24 into the washer tank 12, and a second electrode 28 projecting from the sensor body 24 into the washer tank 12 and arranged offset, in a direction vertical to the first electrode 26, and the sensor outputs a signal, according to the existence of continuity between the first electrode 26 and the second electrode 28.
