PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system for a polarimetry SAR which can reproduce a clear image in accordance with a target. SOLUTION: The polarimetry SAR receives a transmission wave by antennas 5, 6 and receivers 7, 8, records SAR data by data processing sections 9, 10, and performs separation between HH data and VH data, and between HV data and VV data by separation processing sections 11, 12. Full polarimetry data acquired by the polarimetry SAR is stored in a storage device 13, and using the full polarimetry data polarization plane rotation processing is performed by a polarization plane rotation processing section 14 to obtain data (complex data) on an angle A of the polarization plane of the transmission wave and an angle B of the polarization plane of a reception wave. Image reproduction processing is performed on the data obtained by the polarization plane rotation processing by an image reproduction processing section 15 to obtain data (image data) on the angle A of the polarization plane of the transmission wave and the angle B of the polarization plane of the reception wave.
