PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform high precision attitude calculations by an attitude calculation system which has three or more GPS receivers including a standby GPS, receives position information from an antenna of each GPS receiver, and calculates the attitude of an object from the received position information. SOLUTION: A combination of GPS receivers for calculating attitude from the three or more GPS receivers is not fixedly determined in advance, and a combination providing longer base line length between the antennas of the GPS receivers is monitored all the time. Two GPS receivers providing the longest base line length between the antennas is selected out of combinations of the GPS receivers, and the information output from the two is used for attitude calculations.
