PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure stable sealability by reducing the displacement between adjacent gasket base plates while enhancing the follow-up capability of a cylinder head gasket to the opening between a cylinder block and a cylinder head. SOLUTION: This cylinder head gasket comprises the first gasket base plate 11 on the cylinder head side, the second gasket base plate 12 on the cylinder block 2 side, shims 15 for adjusting the thickness of the gasket, and a boosting plate 16 for boosting the surface pressure on the cylinder 3 peripheral edge side. Full beads 11a, 12a are swelled from the first and second gasket base plates 11, 12 on the cylinder 3 peripheral edge side, and half beads 11b, 12b are swelled outside the full beads 11a, 12a. The full beads 11a, 12a of the first and second gasket base plates 11, 12 are so formed that the top parts 11c, 12c of the full beads 11a, 12a faces each other at the positions opposed to each other in the vertical direction.
