摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a supercharging system having an electric motor efficiently and effectively. SOLUTION: In an engine system 10, an ECU 100 executes a MAT protection processing. In the MAT protection processing, the ECU 100 determines whether or not a turbine 209a rotates normally based on the number of turbine revolutions. If the turbine 209a does not rotate normally, the ECU 100 further determines whether or not power is normally supplied to the turbine 209a, based on an integration value of a control current via a power supply system and a voltage gradient value of a primary battery 11. Then, if power is normally supplied to the turbine 209a, the ECU 100 determines that the MAT 209 has mechanically broken down, and stops supply of power to a MAT controller 300. If power is not normally supplied to the turbine 209a, the ECU 100 determines that a control system fails due to such as mixing of noise and reboots the MAT controller 300.
