PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner superior in low temperature fixability, offset resistance, fluidity, blocking resistance, and the charging characteristics, and to provide wax for toner that is used in the toner. SOLUTION: Hydrocarbon wax is used, which has normal paraffin content of 35-65 mass%, as a release agent in the toner containing at least a binder resin, colorants, and the release agent and which has a melting point of 60 to 90°C. The wax has 29C or lower hydrocarbon compound content, with 1 mass% or lower, and penetration degree of 12 to 20. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
