PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer particle dispersion liquid with which the spacer particles can be rapidly and accurately and selectively arranged in specific positions corresponding to the non-pixel region on a substrate by using an ink jet device, a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device, and a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The spacer particle dispersion liquid contains the spacer particles 1 and a solvent 5 and is used for arranging the spacer particles on the surface of a substrate using the ink jet device. In a step of drying the droplets discharged and formed on the surface of the substrate, the spacers aggregate each other within the droplets before the droplets completely dry up, and the boiling point of the solvent is 50 to 190°C.
