PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress blur in a moving picture upon displaying a moving image. SOLUTION: The display device is equipped with a plurality of light emitting elements and a plurality of element control units corresponding to the plurality of light emitting elements. Each of the element control units selects either first pixel data included in first image data indicating a first image to be displayed by the display device or specified pixel data indicating the lowest luminance value, according to a first signal given to the plurality of element control units at the same timing, and supplies the selected pixel data to the light emitting element to control the operational state of the light emitting element.
