<p>Provided is an optical waveguide manufacturing method by which a thickness of a clad layer in the periphery of a core portion is fixed. A first laminated film is formed by forming a first thermosetting resin layer on a first base material film by forming a first thermosetting resin layer for clad formation and forming a clad layer by hardening the first thermosetting resin layer, and forming a second thermosetting resin layer, which is for core formation and exhibits a refractive index higher than that of the clad layer after hardened, and forming the core portion by selectively hardening the second thermosetting setting layer. A second laminated film is formed on a second base material film by forming a third thermosetting resin layer for clad formation and forming the clad layer by hardening the third thermosetting resin layer. In the optical waveguide manufacturing method, the first laminated film whereupon the core portion is formed and the second laminated film are bonded together by having a fourth thermosetting resin layer in between for clad formation, then the clad layer is formed by hardening the thermosetting resin layer sandwiched between the first laminated film and the second laminated film.</p> |
